Power Door Lock Switch (Power Window Master Switch) Input Test

Power Window Master Switch


1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.

2.Remove the power window master switch.

3.Disconnect the 22P connector from the power window master switch.

 

4.Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.

  • If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
  • If the terminals look OK, go to 5.

5.Reconnect the connector to the power window master switch, and make these input tests at the connectors.

  • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
  • If all the tests prove OK, go to 6.

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if result is not obtained 
17 BLU Driver's door lock handy switch unlocked Check for continuity between the power window master switch 22P No. 17 terminal and under-dash fuse/relay box connector T (34P) No. 28 terminal:
There should be less than 1 V. 
  • Faulty MICU
  • Faulty driver's door lock handy switch
  • An open in the wire
 
19 GRY Driver's door lock handy switch locked Check for continuity between the power window master switch 22P No. 19 terminal and under-dash fuse/relay box connector T (34P) No. 27 terminal:
There should be less than 1 V. 
  • Faulty MICU
  • Faulty driver's door lock handy switch
  • An open in the wire
 


6.If all the input tests prove OK, go to the MICU input test.
