1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
2. | Clear the DTC with the HDS. |
3. | Turn the ignition switch OFF, then start the engine. |
4. | Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC 62-21 indicated? YES - Go to 5. NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose terminals at the ABS modulator-control unit 25P connector. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.n |
5. | Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between the battery terminals. Compare the voltage measured at the battery with the voltage shown in the ABS DATA LIST with the HDS. Is the voltage difference 3 V or more? YES - Replace the ABS modulator-control unit: Except K20Z2 engine model, K20Z2 engine model.n NO - Check the battery, and do the alternator regulator circuit troubleshooting: R18A1 engine model, K20Z2 engine model. Also check for loose terminals in the ABS modulator-control unit 25P connector. If necessary, substitute a known-good ABS modulator-control unit, and retest: Except K20Z2 engine model, K20Z2 engine model.n |
