| 4. | Check the illumination of the audio unit button. Are the button illuminated? YES - Go to 5. NO - Go to audio unit button illumination does not work.n |
| 5. | Turn the combination light switch OFF. |
| 6. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 7. | Disconnect audio unit connector D (14P). |
| 8. | Disconnect cassette player unit 14P connector. |
| 9. | Check for continuity between audio unit connector D (14P) No. 8 and No. 12 terminals and cassette player unit 14P connector No. 8 and No. 12 terminals.
Is there continuity? YES - Go to 9. NO - Repair an open in the wire between the audio unit and the cassette player unit.n |
| 10. | Reconnect audio unit connector D (14P). |
| 11. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 12. | With the headlight switch still on, check for voltage between cassette player unit 14P connector No. 8 terminal and body ground.
Is there battery voltage? YES - Check the connections at the cassette player unit 14P connector. If all connections are OK, replace the cassette player unit.n NO - Replace the audio unit.n |
